Pediatric Tuina Method to Prevent Baby’s Cold

  Pediatric Tui Na is a natural therapy that does not require any instruments, drugs or medical equipment, but relies on the dexterity of the hands to apply techniques on the surface of the child’s body to prevent and treat diseases. It is not restricted by medical conditions and can be performed anytime and anywhere. Cold is one of the most common diseases in children, and it is normal for children to have 2-3 colds a year, but many small babies have frequent colds, even once a month, and now we introduce the four major pediatric massage techniques that can effectively prevent and treat colds in babies: opening Tianmen, pushing Kanguang, rubbing the sun, and rubbing the high bone behind the ear.  Every mother can do at home, prevention once a day, treatment can be twice a day, the specific points and operations are as follows: 1, Zanzhu (Tianmen) Location: between the two eyebrows to the front hairline into a straight line.  Operation: two thumbs from the eyebrows to the forehead alternately pushed straight to the front hairline, called pushing Zanzhu or open Tianmen.  Treatments: fever, headache, cold, depression, agitation, etc.  Clinical application: Pushing Zanzhu can relieve wind and relieve symptoms, open the orifices and awaken the brain, and calm the mind. It is often used for external fever and headache, and is combined with pushing Kanguang and rubbing the Sun; if one is agitated and restless, it is combined with clearing the Liver meridian and rubbing the Baihui.  2.Kan Gong (eyebrow arch) Location: from the head of the eyebrow along the tip of the eyebrow into a horizontal line.  Operation: two thumbs from the center of the eyebrow to the tip of the eyebrow push, called pushing Kan Gong (eyebrow arch) or split head Yin and Yang.  Indications: External fever, frightening wind, headache, painful redness of the eyes.  Clinical application: Pushing Kan Gong can remove wind and relieve symptoms, awaken the brain and brighten the eyes, and stop headache. It is often used for external fever and headache, mostly in combination with pushing Zanzhu and rubbing the Sun; if used for treating painful redness of the eyes, mostly in combination with clearing the Liver meridian, pinching and rubbing Xiao Tian Xin and clearing He Shui. Can also be pushed after puncture bleeding or pinching method to enhance the therapeutic effect.  3.Sun (Taiyin) Location: 0.5 inch depression after the intersection of the eyebrow tip and the line of the outer canthus of the eye.  Operation: Knead or transport with the end of the middle finger, called kneading the sun or transporting the sun; use the thumb to push straight from the eye to the ear, called pushing the sun.  Indications: Cold and fever, headache with or without sweating, painful redness of the eyes, etc.  Clinical application: pushing and rubbing the sun to remove wind and relieve symptoms, clear heat and brighten eyes to stop headache. Push the sun is mainly used for external fever.  4.Post-ear high bone (ear back high bone) Location: behind the ear into the posterior edge of the hair mastoid in the depression under the high bone.  Operation: two thumbs or middle finger end rub.  Indications: Cold, headache, wind, restlessness.  Clinical application: Pushing the high bone behind the ear can remove the wind and relieve the symptoms. Treating cold and headache. Mostly used in combination with pushing Tianmen (Zanzhu) and Kanguang. It can calm the mind and remove irritability, and can treat dizziness and irritability.
