Chinese medicine does not have the concepts of “fire” and “fire-reducing”. The term “fire” generally refers to what TCM refers to as the triggering of fire-heat (exuberance of fire-heat and evil qi), while “fire-reducing” refers to what TCM refers to as the nourishing of yin to reduce fire (nourishing the yin essence and lowering the fire qi). Cooked dihuang can nourish yin and reduce fire, and will not cause fire-heat to flourish. It is sweet in taste and slightly warm in nature, and has the effect of nourishing yin, nourishing blood (nourishing the blood in the body), benefiting the essence and filling the marrow. This product can treat blood deficiency and yellowish color, palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), palpitation (violent heartbeat, panic), irregular menstruation, metrorrhagia (excessive menstruation or dripping of menstruation), and hematemesis. This product can also treat kidney yin deficiency, yin deficiency and fire exuberance (deficiency of yin and essence in the body, with the appearance of hyperactive deficiency fire) resulting in lumbar and knee soreness (a feeling of soreness and weakness in the lumbar and knee areas), bone vaporization and tidal fever (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat is penetrating from inside the bones to the outside), dizziness and tinnitus, night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and ceasing when waking up), seminal emission, and other disorders. Generally speaking, in order to enhance the effect of nourishing yin and clearing heat (nourishing yin essence and clearing away heat), Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata can be combined with Rhizoma Zhi Mu (知母), Rhizoma Cyperus Rotundus (黄柏) and Rhizoma Tortoise Plate (龟板), etc., which have better nourishing and clearing effects. The adverse effects of this drug are not known, but it should not be used by people with weak spleen and stomach functions, stagnant Qi and phlegm, and fullness of the abdomen and loose stools (scanty and unformed feces). If you want to use Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, it is recommended to use it under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner. Do not use it without authorization, so as to avoid the medication being incorrect and damaging the body.
