Precautions after pacemaker implantation

  Post-operative precautions for pacemakers 1. Avoid approaching large magnetic fields, do not worry about general electrical appliances, and answer cell phones (cordless phones) in the ear on the opposite side of the implantation site.  2. Avoid raising the implanted arm above the head or strenuous exercise, and avoid weight-bearing on the implanted arm.  3. Avoid external impact or pressure on the pacemaker site (e.g., car seat belt).  4. Avoid bringing magnets close to the pacemaker, including magnetic therapy fitness equipment and magnetic resonance examination. If the pacemaker does not work normally due to interference, palpitations, dizziness, weakness or even syncope may occur, and the symptoms before pacemaker implantation may appear; if the symptoms still exist after leaving the interference, please follow up with the hospital in time.
