How to properly measure your child’s height at home

To measure height, have the child stand barefoot and crown-free (girls put down their hair braids), stand upright with heels together and heels against the wall, while hips, shoulders, and back of the head are all against the wall, and eyes are level in front of them. Parents can place a thick, right-angled object on top of the child’s head, close to the wall, vertically downward, close to the top of the child’s head, and draw a line at the lowest point of the object. Measure height also follow the “three same” principle: 1, the same measurement of people, different people, the calipers in the head of the tightness will be different. 2, the same measurement time, due to standing or exercise, the human spine gap will be compressed, the same person in the morning and evening height will be different, the same time measurement to have comparability. 3, the same measuring tape and measuring tools. Measuring height once a month is enough, too often will cause psychological pressure on the child, which is not conducive to the child’s growth.
