Age spots, or seborrheic keratosis, is a benign tumor of the skin, with a slow course, affecting aesthetics and generally not harmful to the body. Seborrheic keratosis is related to heredity or long-term sun exposure. It is a kind of benign skin tumor, which occurs in the exposed parts of the face (especially the temporal part) and limbs, and it is a brown or black flat papule with different shades at the beginning, and then slowly enlarges, with a rough surface and papillomatous hyperplasia at the later stage. Seborrheic keratosis is seldom cancerous, generally not harmful to the body, usually no treatment is needed, if necessary, freezing, laser and other treatments to get rid of, suspected cancer should be promptly removed and pathologic examination. If seborrheic keratosis lesions occur more than once in a short period of time, there may be malignant tumors of internal organs, which need to be taken seriously and go to the regular medical institutions for medical checkups in a timely manner.
