When to take the contraceptive pill effective

There are many types of contraceptive pills, divided into short-acting pills, long-acting pills and emergency pills, and the effective time of taking different types differs. If it is an emergency contraceptive pill, it is usually effective when taken orally within 72 hours after sex; if it is a long-acting contraceptive pill, it is recommended to be taken orally on the 3rd-5th day of menstruation; if it is a short-acting contraceptive pill, it is usually effective when taken orally from the 5th day of menstruation. The pill is a common form of contraception, and it is recommended to determine if you have any thrombotic or liver or kidney related diseases before taking the pill. A small amount of vaginal bleeding may occur while taking the pill, which is usually a normal reaction and can be observed for the time being. The pill has some side effects, but if you have other contraceptive methods, such as the IUD or condoms, you can also use the pill as an alternative.
