Ganluo Sterilizing Dan is composed of talcum powder, scutellaria baicalensis, inulin, chuanbeimu, patchouli, shotan, forsythia, and other medicines. This drug has the efficacy of clearing heat and removing toxins, inducing dampness and resolving turbidity, and can be used in the treatment of dampness-warmth epidemics, with the evil in the qi portion, and dampness-heat syndromes. Symptoms include fever and tiredness, chest tightness and abdominal distension, sore limbs and sore throat, yellowing of body and eyes, swollen cheeks and thirst, short and red urine, diarrhea and gonorrhea. The adverse effects and contraindications of this drug are not clear. Note that this formula is not suitable for those with dampness-heat entering the camp and delirium (gibberish) with red tongue. The etiology and clinical pattern of spontaneous sweating is complicated, mostly related to qi deficiency and yang deficiency, etc., and can be treated with Yupingfeng San and other drugs. Jade Ping Feng San is composed of Astragalus, Atractylodes Macrocephala and Fenghuang, which has the effect of benefiting qi and consolidating the epidermis to stop sweating (stopping sweating by consolidating the muscle epidermis). The adverse reactions and contraindications of this drug are not clear; note that external spontaneous sweating or night sweating due to yin deficiency (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and cessation of sweating after waking up) are not recommended to use this drug.
