Secondary protection is the level of protection adopted for the prevention and control of infectious diseases, also known as enhanced protection. The protection standards for enhanced protection are disposable hats, N95 protective masks, anti-fog goggles, anti-fog protective masks, medical protective suits, disposable gloves, disposable shoe covers, and so on. Enhanced protective measures for the applicable population include healthcare personnel collecting samples, transferring patients, medical personnel entering isolation observation rooms, special wards, medical personnel and drivers who come into contact with patients’ specimens, handling secretions, feces, using objects, remains, and transporting patients. When using disposable items, medical personnel should first check whether there is any air leakage in the package and whether it is within the expiration date, and use it only after checking that there is no abnormality.
