The symptom of blood stasis is usually pain, which is known in Chinese medicine as pain if it does not pass. Blood stasis can cause poor blood flow or even occlusion, and the lack of flow can lead to ineffective supply of local nutrients, which can cause painful sensations. The pain varies in different areas, for example, stasis of blood in the liver will cause pain in the liver area, while stasis of blood in the lungs will cause chest pain, difficulty in breathing or coughing up blood, and stasis of blood in the heart will cause chest pain that worsens after activity. Most of the common dysmenorrhea in women is also caused by blood stasis. It will be dark in color, clotted, painful when menstruating, or accompanied by breast pain. There are also general symptoms of blood stasis, such as purple tongue coating, or petechiae, petechiae, skin nail fault, like fish scales, and dark eyes, dark circles under the eyes, etc. These are all common manifestations of blood stasis.
