What’s the process of removing a rotten root?

The whole process of root extraction: local anesthesia, separating the gums, loosening the root, and extracting the tooth with dental pliers.

1. Local anesthesia: Generally use Lidocaine or Bicarbonate for local anesthesia around the root of the tooth, which can be effective in one or two minutes.

2. Separation of the gums: A gum stripper is used to separate the gums around the root of the tooth to avoid tearing the gums and bleeding during extraction.

3. Loosening the root: Choose a suitable tooth extractor and lift the root through the wedge force at the buccal root to avoid damaging the neighboring teeth.

4. Extraction with dental pliers: Use the appropriate dental pliers to extract the loose root, then clean the inflammatory tissue in the alveolar fossa with a spatula, and then use cotton balls to stop the bleeding and complete the extraction.

After the tooth root extraction, if there is any discomfort, timely follow-up, under the doctor’s examination for treatment.
