What does blood lactate mean?

Blood lactate is an indicator of blood tests and is an intermediate product of glucose metabolism in the body, mainly produced by red blood cells, transverse muscle and brain tissue. In general, an increase in lactate indicates hypoxia and disorders of glucose metabolism in human tissues. The more common diseases are shock, cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure, blood disorders, pulmonary insufficiency, etc., which can cause hyperlactatemia caused by hypoxia and require careful treatment by a doctor to turn the situation into a safe one. Another very common clinical condition is diabetic lactic acidosis, which is very common in diabetic patients and requires rational application of medication by endocrinologists.
