There is no scientific evidence that vitamin A plays a role in the treatment of vertigo. Vitamin A is usually used to treat night blindness and dry eye disease caused by its deficiency. Vertigo, on the other hand, is caused by a malfunction in the patient’s perception of his or her balance and spatial orientation. The treatment of this disease mainly includes symptomatic treatment and etiologic treatment. 1. Symptomatic treatment (1) General treatment: absolute bed rest, avoid head movement. (2) Pharmacological treatment: use of sedation, halo, improve microcirculation of the inner ear of Western medicine drugs, such as scopolamine, diazepam, nimodipine and so on. (3) Hyperbaric oxygen therapy: Hyperbaric oxygen can rapidly increase the partial pressure of oxygen in the blood of the body, rapidly correct the ischemia and hypoxia of the body, and improve the microcirculation of the lesion. 2. Etiological treatment: In the clinic, after the patient’s vertigo symptoms are relieved, the relevant treatment is often implemented according to the etiology. Commonly used methods include: otolith manipulation, treatment of cerebrovascular disease, resection of acoustic neuroma, treatment of anemia and so on. Vertigo patients need to consult a doctor in a timely manner to clarify the cause, strictly comply with the doctor’s instructions for the use of drugs, not blindly use their own medication, so as not to cause adverse consequences.
