What causes febrile convulsions?

Febrile convulsions may be caused by imperfect development of the nervous system, intracranial infections, extracranial infections and other reasons.
1. Imperfect development of the nervous system: common in children, due to the child’s age, is in the period of growth and development, brain development is not very mature, when attacked by bacteria and viruses and other pathogens, easy to cause a high fever, resulting in cerebral nerve dysfunction, which may induce febrile convulsions.
2. Intracranial infection: common in encephalitis, meningitis and other intracranial infectious diseases, because the intracranial invasion of bacteria, viruses and other pathogenic bacteria, the formation of brain nerve stimulation, may cause febrile convulsions, the serious cases may also endanger the safety of life.
3. Extracranial infections: common in upper respiratory tract infections, severe pneumonia, toxic dysentery and other diseases, if these diseases are not controlled in time, resulting in bacteria, viruses and other pathogenic bacteria along with the blood circulation of the body to form a stimulus to the brain cells, may cause febrile convulsions.
When feverish convulsions occur, attention should be paid to timely medical treatment, and timely targeted treatment measures should be taken to prevent delays in the condition.
