Neurological muscular dystrophy is a disease of the nervous system that causes muscle atrophy. The second condition is caused by peripheral nerve diseases, such as Green-Barre syndrome, and some spinal cord diseases that cause damage to the anterior horn cells of the spinal cord, and this atrophy is caused by the failure of the muscles to receive nerve nutrition.
