The hemorrhoid plugs back and falls out again, which is a situation caused by the enlargement of the nucleus of the hemorrhoid. Internal hemorrhoids are caused by the patient’s poor eating habits and will appear as small fleshy balls inside the anus that will come out with the bowel discharge and will retract automatically at this stage. If the patient has recently consumed too much food such as chili, pepper, alcohol, coffee and seafood, stimulating the affected area will make the hemorrhoid nucleus appear red, swollen, enlarged and painful. It is difficult to retract automatically after prolapse and needs to be rubbed back by hand, and in severe cases the nucleus can prolapse again due to oversized hemorrhoids after being plugged back in. It may also be caused by the relaxation of the anal sphincter, and it is best to go to the hospital for examination and treatment. At this stage, medication is not effective and surgery is needed to remove or ligate the hemorrhoid.
