Signs of Liver Cancer Recurrence

Clinical symptoms of patients with liver cancer recurrence vary, they may not have obvious symptoms, but may also show their symptoms such as wasting, loss of appetite and so on. Hepatocellular carcinoma is a malignant tumor disease originated from liver. Liver cancer patients in the early stage of its development have a chance to be cured after standardized treatment, but even if they are cured, they may still face recurrence of liver cancer. At present, there is no scientific evidence to show the signs of liver cancer before recurrence; if diagnosed as recurrence, patients usually have already recurred for a long time, and the clinical manifestations can be different, some patients may have no obvious symptoms, while some patients may manifest emaciation, ascites, jaundice, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, abdominal mass, or symptoms of metastatic sites (e.g. hematemesis, headache, bone pain, etc.). In addition, patients may also show elevated AFP level when recurrence occurs, etc. Whether it is liver cancer or other malignant tumors, after recovery from treatment, patients need to undergo regular checkups in order to discover new abnormal lesions in the body in time, and to carry out scientific diagnosis and treatment at the early stage of recurrence. Liver cancer patients should follow the doctor’s instruction to have regular checkups, and once they have any abnormal discomforts, they should consult the doctor in time to avoid any adverse consequences.
