Chronic prostatitis acute period should not have sex, stable period of about three days a sex, sex once or twice a week.
1. Acute attacks: Sex is not recommended during acute attacks of chronic prostatitis, as it may cause the prostate to swell and become congested, leading to increased inflammation. The fact that you can’t have sex during an acute attack, and that you can have sex on a regular and periodic basis, can help to relieve the symptoms associated with chronic prostatitis.
2. Stabilization: The patients with chronic prostatitis can have sex once every three days or so, or once or twice a week, and the number of times of sex should not be too frequent, so as to avoid repeated congestion of the prostate, edema, and bacterial invasion caused by bacterial prostatitis.
