Acute pancreatitis diet instructions

Pancreatitis is an “eating out” disease! The “rich diet” allows the pancreas to be digested by itself. A proper diet can help patients recover soon, reduce the recurrence rate and improve the quality of life. The following aspects of pancreatitis diet are summarized below. A necessary fasting is necessary for acute pancreatitis attacks, because eating can stimulate more secretion of pancreatic juice and bile, aggravating pancreatic ductal hypertension or enteropancreatic reflux, making mild pancreatitis severe. Therefore early, the best way is to fasting water, let the pancreas fully rest, to promote early recovery from the disease. Second, the two requirements 1, pancreatitis patients recovering from the diet should be light, a small number of meals, food varieties to increase gradually. 2, to abstain from alcohol and limit oil. Three cycles 1, the attack period: fasting, generally light and moderate patients fasting time for 1 to 3 days. In severe cases, fasting for one week, necessary application of jejunal nutrition tube. 2, recovery period: when abdominal pain and distension disappear and intestinal peristalsis is restored, food can be considered. It is advisable to drink a small amount of warm water first, and the next day can be given a fat-free, protein-free, high-carbohydrate liquid diet, such as rice soup, fruit juice, lotus root powder, etc., in small amounts, 60-100 ml each time, 6-8 meals per day. 2-3 days later, transition to a non-stimulating, easily digestible semi-liquid diet, such as vegetable soup, rice paste, vegetable porridge, thin rice, soft noodles, etc. 3, stable period: (1) timely removal of the cause of the disease caused by biliary tract disease, to be stable, the patient’s general condition gradually improved, that should be actively treated biliary stones; alcoholic pancreatitis patients, to prohibit alcohol; binge drinkers, should avoid repeating the same mistake; hyperlipidemia, should take long-term lipid-lowering drugs, and intake of low-fat, light diet. (2) help the pancreas to recover its function after acute pancreatitis, the pancreatic ability to digest fat and protein is reduced, so a high-fat diet should be prohibited, avoid overeating, supplement fat-soluble vitamins, and ensure the supply of calories. Fourth, the four taboos 1, prohibit overeating to prevent the recurrence of disease. 2, prohibit fried, deep-fried, high-fat food. Greasy food is not easy to digest, and can promote bile secretion, and bile can activate the digestive enzymes in the pancreas, which can aggravate or relapse the disease. 3, prohibit smoking and alcohol. 4, prohibit spicy and stimulating food.
