Generally speaking, October is the month of gestation, i.e. 4 weeks and 1 month, totaling 40 weeks. While 37 weeks of gestation is full term, the best time to have a baby is between 39 and 41 weeks, when the fetus’ nervous system is more developed. The time of pregnancy is calculated from the last menstrual period. Before 14 weeks of pregnancy is called early pregnancy, 14-28 weeks is mid-term pregnancy and 28-37 weeks is late pregnancy. A fetus after 37 weeks of gestation is called a full-term baby. Therefore, after 37 weeks, pregnant women should always be prepared for delivery, have regular checkups to know the condition of the fetus, and go to the obstetrics and gynecology department in time to wait for delivery when regular abdominal pain and redness occur. Pregnant women need to prepare a waiting bag in advance so that they can go to the hospital quickly when the signs of labor appear. Pregnant women who are waiting for delivery need to ensure sufficient rest, eat a reasonable nutritious diet and move around properly to facilitate delivery.
