Oyster shells have the effects of tranquilizing the mind (stabilizing the mind with medicines such as minerals), submerging the yang and tonifying the yin, softening and dispersing knots (softening and dispersing hard lumps), and astringing and solidifying astringency (astringing and consolidating), and calcined, they can also control acidity and relieve pain (suppressing gastric acid and relieving pain). Oyster shell, also known as oyster in traditional Chinese medicine, is salty in taste, slightly cold in nature, and belongs to the liver, gallbladder and kidney meridians. It has the efficacy of tranquilizing the mind, submerging yang and replenishing yin, softening and dispersing hard lumps, astringent and solidifying astringency, and it can be used to suppress acidity and relieve pain. 1. Tranquilizing the mind: oyster belongs to the gallbladder meridian, and can be used to treat restlessness, insomnia and forgetfulness. 2. Nourishing yin and submerging yang (inhibiting the rising of too much yang by replenishing yin): Oyster enters the liver and kidney meridians, and can treat dizziness and dizziness, hot flashes and night sweating (sweating after falling asleep, but not stopping after waking up) caused by deficiency of the liver and kidney, failure of the yin to astringe yang and disturbance of the deficiency of the yang. 3. Acid Control and Pain Relief: Calcined raw oyster can be used to treat stomachache and acid swallowing (swallowing the acid that rushes up from the stomach to the oropharynx), and it is often paired with Squid Bone. Oyster should be used with other traditional Chinese medicines under the guidance of a doctor, and should not be used on its own.
