Treatment of Gallbladder Stones

The treatment of gallbladder stones is mainly divided into 2 categories: 1, conservative treatment: for asymptomatic gallbladder stones can not be treated, such gallstones are often found in the physical examination by ultrasound, called “static” gallstones, should take a wait-and-see attitude. For some patients with mild symptoms, they can be treated conservatively by taking some oral anti-inflammatory and choleretic drugs such as anti-inflammatory and choleretic tablets, choline tablets, golden bile tablets, bile vitamins, etc. They can also take herbal tonics, which can effectively relieve the symptoms and sometimes have the effect of stone removal. The gallbladder is surgically removed to remove the source of gallstones. In addition to removing the source of gallstones, 95% of gallbladders with symptoms of gallstones have varying degrees of acute and chronic inflammation, or other problems with gallbladder contraction or bile concentration. In most cases, the gallbladder is no longer functional, and removal of a non-functional gallbladder does not impede digestive function, so only some cases have a slight increase in stool frequency after surgery, but return to normal after a few months. In conclusion, cholelithiasis is a common and complex disease, and there is a difference between laparoscopic and open surgery. Nowadays, laparoscopic cholecystectomy has become the gold standard for cholecystectomy because of its minimally invasive nature, and it is the first method of choice and is very popular among patients.
