Cervicogenic heart disease is common in clinical practice. Cervical spondylosis can cause clinical manifestations such as palpitations, chest tightness, dizziness, anterior heart discomfort, suffocation and shortness of breath associated with heart disease, i.e. heart disease with heart-related symptoms, but the cause is caused by cervical spondylosis, and this series of diseases is called cervicogenic heart disease. Cervical spine lesions can cause deformation of the cervical spine, which can compress many nerves and cause internal organ lesions, gradually forming cervicogenic heart disease. Cervicogenic heart disease is mainly caused by sympathetic cervical spondylosis. Misalignment of the small joints in the cervical and upper thoracic spine can compress the sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves, which can affect the nerves innervating the heart and thus cause symptoms related to heart disease. Patients may experience heart disease symptoms similar to coronary artery disease, angina, tachycardia, bradycardia, etc. Approximately 25% of the heart disease population is caused by cervicogenic heart disease, and patients with cervicogenic heart disease should be alerted to the possibility of a combination of true organic heart disease, which requires further relevant tests to differentiate.
