How soon can you eat after tooth extraction

You can eat and drink normally 2 hours after tooth extraction. After the tooth is extracted, usually about 30 minutes after biting a cotton ball or gauze, a blood clot will form in the extraction wound and no further bleeding will occur. If there is no further bleeding, you can eat and drink 2 hours after tooth extraction. You can eat liquid food or semi-liquid food, not too hot or hard food, and try to avoid chewing on the side of the extracted tooth, and you cannot brush your teeth or rinse your mouth for 24 hours, otherwise, before the blood clot is completely mechanized, it will easily lead to the destruction of the clot and cause continued bleeding and delayed healing of the extracted tooth wound. Before tooth extraction, it is recommended to eat something and drink water appropriately, and not to fast, otherwise it is easy to faint if the extraction process is long or easy to be hungry after the operation. However, do not eat too much or eat too greasy food, otherwise nausea or even vomiting may occur during the extraction process, which may easily cause infection of the extraction wound.
