What are the early symptoms of syphilis on the tongue?

Symptoms on the tongue of syphilis patients are different according to the different clinical manifestations of the staging, the first stage of syphilis is manifested as scleroderma; the second stage of syphilis is manifested as oral mucous membrane spots.
Syphilis is a chronic infectious disease caused by syphilis spirochete infection.
1. Scleroderma: After entering the human body, the syphilis spirochete can develop a chancre at the site of invasion, preferably in the external genitalia. Special forms of sexual intercourse, such as oral sex, can also lead to the development of chancre on the lips, tongue and mouth.
The scleroderma appears as a raised, round nodule 1 to 2 cm in diameter. The edge of the nodule is flat and well defined, and an ulcer or scab may form in the center, which may appear as a cartilage-like hard nodule when touched.
2. Oral mucous membrane plaque: it is the typical oral manifestation of patients with stage II syphilis, which is found in the tongue tip and tongue edge, inner lip mucous membrane, pharynx, soft palate, tonsils and other parts of the body. Mucosal spots are shallow round, oval or prostrate, with grayish-white surface color, surrounded by a 1.5~5cm diameter ring-shaped red band of congestion, not accompanied by pain.
It is recommended that the diagnosis of syphilis should be treated promptly to avoid aggravation of the condition.
