Do adults with asymptomatic X-shaped legs need medical attention?

Mild X-leg with no symptoms can continue to be observed without medical attention. Severe X-leg should be seen by a doctor to rule out the cause and to relieve the adverse effects of severe poor force lines. Some patients who experience pain on the outside of the knee after exercise (relieved by rest) or have patellar instability are also symptomatic and should not be classified as ‘asymptomatic’ and should seek medical attention.
