How to do functional exercise after ulnar radius fracture

Functional exercises after ulnar radius fracture include early functional exercises, the early functional exercises are from the 2nd to 14th day after surgery. The functional exercises to be done during this period are active muscle contractions and passive movements of the wrist and elbow joints. Rotational movements are not allowed during this period because they can cause displacement of the fracture and may interfere with healing or cause functional impairment due to malformed healing. Early passive movement of the wrist and elbow joints, as well as active local muscle strength, are required to prevent muscle atrophy and deep vein thrombosis. In addition, from 14 days to about 1.5 months after surgery is the mid-term functional exercise. The mid-term functional exercise can increase the rotation movement appropriately, but not too much amplitude is allowed. Late functional exercises, such as those that begin after 21 days postoperatively, require proper movement and appropriate resistance exercises.
