Direct bilirubin 11.7umol/L, for physiological causes of direct bilirubin elevation, most do not need treatment; but for pathologic causes of direct bilirubin elevation, most need to use ursodeoxycholic acid, entecavir and other drugs to treat. The normal value of direct bilirubin is 0~6.8umol/L, and the value of 11.7umol/L belongs to mild elevation, but the need for treatment has a certain relationship with the causes of elevation. 1. Physiological causes: If the mild increase of direct bilirubin is caused by taking certain drugs, drinking alcohol, exertion and other physiological reasons, it is usually transient, and will return to normal value after removing the triggering factors, so it does not need to be treated. 2. Pathologic causes: (1) If the direct bilirubin is elevated due to obstructive jaundice, it is recommended to use ursodeoxycholic acid, potassium magnesium mentholatum and other drugs under the guidance of the doctor for treatment. (2) If the direct bilirubin is elevated due to hepatocellular jaundice caused by viral hepatitis, it is recommended to use antiviral drugs such as entecavir and tenofovir under doctor’s supervision for treatment. After checking the elevated direct bilirubin value, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, and after the doctor’s interview, combined with other related tests and the patient’s symptoms, we will comprehensively determine whether treatment is needed and the specific plan of treatment.
