Can two year olds get hemorrhoids?

Two-year-old babies can get hemorrhoids, but they are rare and are generally thought to be related to congenital anal laxity or congenital downward migration of the rectal mucosa, and also to the fact that babies are prone to constipation and diarrhea. Constipation or diarrhea can cause impaired blood circulation in the anorectal area, leading to varicose veins, and also cause the more fragile mucosa to be more irritated and downwardly displaced, and cause hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids in infants and children should be treated with caution, and most can be reduced or cured with an adjusted feeding regimen or diet. In the case of children who still do not return to normal, symptomatic medication can be used to relieve the cause. If they do not improve after various therapies, surgical treatment can be considered. Surgery should be palliative and just relieve the pain so as not to cause major trauma to the infant or child during surgery and affect its development and the function of the anus.
