Where’s the chin?

The chin is the connection between the horizontal portions of the bilateral mandibles, which is the position of the chin in the middle of the lower part of the face.
The chin, or jaw, is an important part of the lower third of the face. Anatomically it is formed by the connection of the horizontal branches of the mandible bilaterally.
The chin has a great influence on the contour lines of the face. An even and smooth line will affect the curves of the facial contour and even the harmony of the proportions of the facial features.
The size, position and shape of the chin have a great influence on the facial appearance. Underdevelopment of the chin bone can be manifested as a shortened chin, pointed face, bird’s mouth face, etc., while overdevelopment of the chin bone can be manifested as a long face, and the abnormal shape of the chin bone can also lead to the asymmetry of the overall shape of the face.
