Is swollen gum pain caused by anaerobic bacteria?

Swollen and painful gums may be caused by periodontitis. Some pathogenic bacteria in the periodontium are mostly composed of anaerobic bacteria, so when patients with periodontitis are encountered, they are advised to undergo basic periodontal treatment, such as scaling and scraping, to remove pathogenic factors such as tartar or soft tartar from the periodontium. After treatment, a metronidazole film or minocycline hydrochloride is placed in the periodontal pocket, which is very effective for patients with periodontal disease infected by anaerobic bacteria. In case of periodontal abscess, patients should also be advised to take broad-spectrum class of antibiotics, together with anti-anaerobic bacteria, such as metronidazole, ornidazole, tinidazole, etc. After going home, patients are advised to rinse their mouth with concentrated tinidazole or rehabilitative new solution, which can achieve very good results.
