Functional exercise after knee cartilage injury

  1.Practice calf, from the 1st day to 8 weeks after surgery, hook the foot with maximum force and tense the foot downward with maximum force 500 times a day.  2.Practice thigh, from the 1st day to 8 weeks after surgery, straighten the leg and lift it off the bed (insist for 5 seconds), then relax it (2 seconds), 600 times a day.  3, flexion and extension of the knee joint, 1 week to 8 weeks after surgery, every day, someone else help, or carry your own leg to passively flex and extend the knee joint morning (200 times), in the middle (200 times), and evening (200 times). After each practice, use an ice water mixture in a plastic bag and apply a cold compress to the knee joint for 20 minutes, also 3 times.  Requirements: ① Never flex and extend the knee joint with force by yourself. Be sure to have someone else help, or carry your own leg to flex and extend the knee.  ② For about 1 week, be sure to practice until it is completely straight.  ③1 month or so, passive (someone else help, or move your own leg to flex the knee) knee flexion to basic normal.  4, the first 2 months, the knee does not hold strength, the foot must not land on the ground,.  5.After 2 months, partly hold the strength, gradually go to crutches.  6.After 3 months, if there is no swelling and no pain, walk slowly first, then gradually walk fast.  7.After half year review, decide whether you can jog.
