Whether oysters are fire-raising or fire-reducing

Oyster is an animal of the oyster family, and the species under this family are collectively known as oysters, which refers to the meat of oysters, i.e. oyster meat, which is neither fire-inducing nor fire-reducing when consumed.
From the point of view of nutrition in Chinese medicine, oyster meat is flat in nature, sweet and salty in taste, and belongs to the heart and liver meridians. Oyster meat neither causes fire nor reduces fire. Its effects are softening and eliminating swelling, nourishing yin and blood, calming the mind and tonifying the heart, and clearing the lungs. This product is suitable for insomnia (irritability and stuffiness resulting in sleeplessness), restlessness of the heart and mind, and weakness and strain.
Oyster meat can be stir-fried or roasted, boiled in soup, or mixed with vinegar and ginger. Although oyster meat is good, it should not be eaten too much to avoid aggravating the burden on the gastrointestinal tract.
It is advisable to eat less spicy and fatty foods such as pepper, chili, garlic and lung heat in daily diet to avoid causing fire.
People who are susceptible to fire are advised to consult a medical professional in a timely manner and choose to take medication for further treatment.
