How to exercise for eye muscle weakness

Patients with ocular myasthenia gravis can usually improve the strength of the local muscles of the eyes through exercise, which mainly includes eye opening and closing training, i.e., repeatedly practicing opening and closing the eyes. However, the effect of relying solely on muscle weakness exercises to improve the patient’s eye muscle strength may not be obvious. For congenital eye muscle weakness, surgical correction may be considered. For acquired eye muscle weakness, the main treatment is to address the cause of the disease. For example, if the eye muscle weakness is localized due to myasthenia gravis, the patient can follow the doctor’s instructions to use drugs such as neostigmine to treat it, and if the eye muscle weakness is caused by facial muscle paralysis, the patient can consider nutritive neurological drugs, such as methylcobalamin, and so on. It is recommended that patients with ocular myasthenia gravis seek medical attention in a timely manner to assess their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, do not take unauthorized treatment to avoid delaying their condition.
