Can ovarian cysts be palpated

It is possible that ovarian cysts can be palpated. If the ovarian cyst is relatively large, with a diameter of 8 cm or more, it is possible to palpate the cyst on the abdominal wall. If the ovarian cyst is relatively small, less than 5 cm in diameter, it cannot be palpated. Most people have physiological cysts that may disappear on their own and can be reviewed by pelvic ultrasound 3-7 days after the next menstrual period. If the cyst causes pain in the lower abdomen, it may be caused by inflammation and exudation. It can be treated with intravenous anti-inflammatory fluids, usually with cephalosporins combined with ornidazole, for about 1 week, and pelvic ultrasound for 1 week after stopping the medication. If the cyst shrinks and disappears, there is no problem, but if there is no significant improvement after the medication and the cyst continues to grow, it needs to be cured by surgical removal.
