Babies with eczema can eat regular formula. If the eczema is more severe, test if there is a milk protein allergy. If the baby is allergic to milk protein, he/she should not take regular formula and switch to hydrolyzed formula under the advice of the doctor. Hydrolyzed milk powder is divided into partially hydrolyzed milk powder and completely hydrolyzed milk powder. If the eczema is not very serious, you can eat partially hydrolyzed formula. After switching to partially hydrolyzed formula, observe the eczema and if it gets better, you can continue to eat partially hydrolyzed formula. If your baby’s eczema is still not relieved after switching to partially hydrolyzed formula, it means that your baby’s allergy to milk protein is more serious and you need to switch to fully hydrolyzed formula, i.e. amino acid formula. After changing the formula your baby needs to eat until the eczema recovers, and then consolidate the food for about 4 weeks after recovery.
