Fibroids can grow in any part of the uterus, such as in the uterine cavity, which is submucosal fibroids. Some fibroids grow in the broad ligament to form broad ligament fibroids, and some fibroids even grow in the cervical canal to form cervical fibroids. The clinical symptoms caused by fibroids in different locations are also different. Clinically, gynecological examination, pelvic ultrasound, and a comprehensive analysis of the patient’s symptoms are needed to select surgical methods to remove fibroids. For example, hysteroscopic surgery can be chosen for fibroids in the uterine cavity, laparoscopic surgery can be chosen for fibroids between the muscle walls or broad ligaments, and cervical surgery can be done for those in the cervical area.
