Ginseng Nourishing Glory Pill is composed of ginseng, atractylodes, poria, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparatae, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Radix Astragali, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Radix et Rhizoma Farfarae, Radix Cinnamomum Cassiae, and Schizandra chinensis. It is effective in benefiting qi and tonifying blood, nourishing the heart and tranquilizing the mind. It is used for the deficiency of heart and spleen, deficiency of qi and blood, resulting in thinness and fatigue (lack of spirit), loose stools (sparse and unshaped feces), and post-disease weakness.
Adverse effects of this drug are not clear. Pregnant women, people who are strong and solid but not deficient, bleeding people should not take it; Yin deficiency, heat is overflowing people should not use it; should not take quatu, wulingxin, saponaria or its preparation at the same time; should not drink tea and eat radish; should not be taken at the same time with cold and flu medicines.
2. Ten Perfect Pills consists of Codonopsis, Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Radix Astragali and Cinnamon. It is effective in warming and tonifying Qi and blood. It is used for symptoms such as pallor, shortness of breath, palpitation, dizziness and spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by sweating with slight movement), lukewarmness of limbs, and heavy menstruation due to deficiency of qi and blood.
The adverse effects of this drug are not clear. It is contraindicated for those with solid heat; not suitable for those with external wind-cold or wind-heat sensation; not suitable for concomitant use with cold and flu medicines, quinine, erythrite or their preparations.
