Whether a tailbone fracture affects normal delivery depends on the severity of the patient’s fracture afterwards. If the patient has only a cracked fracture, transverse fracture, nondisplaced fracture, stable fracture, no displacement of the fracture end, and the fracture heals well after proper diagnosis and treatment, it will not affect the delivery in the future. If the patient has fallen and landed on the sacrococcygeal area, the tailbone fracture has been displaced at the same time, the tailbone has been displaced to the front, or the fracture has been combined with a dislocation, the tailbone has been displaced to the front side, which affects the birth canal, there will be some difficulties in the future in the delivery, but this situation is relatively rare, if it really happens, we can also use surgery to remove the tailbone, and the delivery can still be done in the future. Even if a large displacement occurs, other remedies can be used, such as cesarean delivery.
