If high blood pressure is found at 37 weeks of pregnancy, a specific decision should be made whether to terminate the pregnancy based on the degree of high blood pressure, the absence of complications such as urine protein, whether the fetus has growth restriction, the function of the placenta, and the umbilical cord blood flow resistance index to make a comprehensive analysis. If the blood pressure is mildly elevated, less than 140/90mmHg, no other uncomfortable symptoms, no positive signs, no abnormal blood tests, and good placental function, then close observation can be continued. If the blood pressure is elevated greater than or equal to 140/90 mmHg, accompanied by urine protein, headache, blurred vision, or discomfort in the right upper abdomen, or even thrombocytopenia, the pregnancy needs to be terminated by cesarean section as soon as possible.
