Differentiation of gastric cancer and gastric ulcer

Gastric cancer is obviously different from gastric ulcer, including the following aspects: 1. ulcer disease is a benign lesion, while gastric cancer is a malignant lesion; 2. from clinical symptoms, the main symptom of gastric ulcer is epigastric pain and distension, which has obvious regularity, generally the pain increases half an hour after meal and gradually relieves in 1-2 hours; while gastric cancer pain does not have obvious regularity and can be progressively aggravated, accompanied by black stool, wasting, weight loss, etc.; 3. In terms of examination, gastric ulcer is only a light pressure pain in the upper abdomen, and there is no obvious lump that can be palpated; while gastric cancer can often palpate a fixed hard lump at an advanced stage; 4. The ulcers are benign ulcers with small size and neat and clean edges, while gastric cancer can appear as irregular and irregular crater-like ulcers or lump-like ulcers with brittle texture and easy bleeding.
