What to do about multiple gallbladder polyps

Multiple gallbladder polyps, i.e. multiple polyps in the gallbladder, is clinically known as multiple gallbladder polyps, which can be treated conservatively or surgically according to the size of the polyps, the presence or absence of obvious symptoms, and the presence or absence of complications. 1. Conservative treatment: If the gallbladder polyp is less than 1cm, and there is no obvious epigastric discomfort and other symptoms, no special treatment is needed, and regular (6-12 months) ultrasound can be repeated. Usually pay attention to a light diet, avoid eating high cholesterol foods, increase the intake of low cholesterol foods (such as fish, lean meat). 2. Surgery: If the ultrasound suggests that the polyp is growing too fast and exceeds 10mm, or is combined with thickening of the gallbladder wall, cholecystitis, gallbladder stones, and at the same time, there are symptoms such as epigastric discomfort, nausea and vomiting, or there is a tendency of cancerous transformation, then it is suggested to carry out a surgical treatment, and commonly used laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which is less traumatizing and has quicker recovery. The same disease, different conditions, different stages of the disease, different treatment methods, should be standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
