How is baby eczema caused?

  Eczema is a common allergic skin reaction caused by a variety of factors. The most characteristic features are intense self-induced itching, polymorphic lesions, symmetrical distribution, tendency to exude, and a chronic course.  Babies often have a skin condition called baby eczema during infancy, which is an allergic (or allergic) disease, acute or subacute eczema, usually occurring on the head and face of infants, and is generally curable within a short time. If the condition is severe, the itch is unbearable, but it will still heal by the age of about 2. Only a small number of them will remain with the child until childhood, which will also affect the child’s physical and mental health.    Baby eczema usually occurs as early as 1-3 months of age and is also known as neonatal eczema. Baby eczema is a common, frequent and recurrent skin inflammation. The etiology of baby eczema is related to genetic and external triggers. High ambient temperature or wearing too warm or cold can stimulate the recurrence or aggravation of eczema in babies. There is a specific type of pediatric eczema that occurs around the anus of the child and is often associated with pinworm infection, called pinworm eczema. It is better to wear cotton material jacket, cotton jacket, flannel shirt, etc.  Pay close attention to the child’s digestive status and whether he or she is allergic to milk, eggs, fish, shrimp and other foods. For breastfeeding, the mother should avoid such allergy-prone foods. The child should avoid irritation from alkaline soaps, cosmetics or perfumes. Do not take BCG or other vaccinations during the onset of the disease. Avoid contact with patients with herpes simplex (commonly known as “hot sores”) to avoid the development of herpetic eczema.
