What Lung Cancer Lymph Node Metastasis Means

Lung cancer lymph node metastasis means that the cancer cells have spread to the lymph nodes and entered the middle and late stages of lung cancer. Lung cancer cells can metastasize to lymph nodes in hilar, mediastinum, clavicle, axilla and other areas according to the direction of lymphatic vessels. Different metastatic sites have different clinical manifestations. If mediastinal lymph node metastasis occurs, symptoms such as hoarseness and dyspnea may appear; if hilar lymph node metastasis occurs, it may lead to lung atelectasis, pneumonia, chest tightness and shortness of breath, etc.; if supraclavicular or cervical lymph node metastasis occurs, a mass can be touched in the corresponding area. When lung cancer cells only metastasize to nearby lymph nodes, it can be recognized as locally advanced stage; if it has spread to distant or other tissues, it can be recognized as lung cancer metastasis. According to different metastases, surgery, chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy will be considered. If there is any symptom related to lung cancer lymph node metastasis, please consult doctor in time and follow the doctor’s instruction.
