What is tongue cancer?

  Tongue cancer is a cancer in the oral cavity and is a malignant tumor on the tongue. Tongue cancer mainly occurs in the front two-thirds of the tongue and rarely occurs at the root of the tongue. Tongue cancer occurs mostly in men and is less common in women.  The cause of tongue cancer cannot be determined, but most believe it is related to the oral environment.
