What is dizziness and vertigo?

  Dizziness and vertigo are common organic and functional disorders of the central or peripheral vestibule of the brain, and are also one of the common clinical symptoms.  1, dizziness and vertigo in the elderly are mostly seen in cerebral arteriosclerosis, insufficient blood supply to the vertebral basilar artery, cervical vertigo, hypertension, anemia, etc.; 2, frequent dizziness and vertigo in young people are mostly seen in postural hypotension, sleep disorders, depression, cervical vertigo, basal migraine, etc.; 3, frequent dizziness in children may suffer from temporal lobe epilepsy, inner ear vertigo and other diseases.  General dizziness and vertigo are related to diseases or physical exertion, psychological stress and other factors.  If the dizziness is prolonged, it is usually related to neurasthenia or overexertion, fatigue, work stress, etc.  Sometimes Meniere’s syndrome can also be caused, usually by lymphedema of the inner ear caused by vestibular dysfunction. However, sometimes it is also caused by excessive mental tension, extra stress, anxiety, insomnia, staying up late, and other factors that lead to symptoms such as a feeling of violent rotation of oneself and things around, dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, being afraid to move around, and intensifying after activity.  After the appearance of dizziness and vertigo, it is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment as early as possible to avoid delaying the disease.
