It is possible for patients with uterine fibroids to eat bird’s nest. Uterine fibroids occur in the reproductive years and are rare before puberty and after menopause. Uterine fibroids during the reproductive period may gradually shrink after menopause, which suggests that the development of fibroids is related to female hormone levels. There is no scientific evidence to prove that bird’s nest contains female hormones, so even if patients with uterine fibroids consume bird’s nest, it will not lead to excessive growth or degeneration of fibroids, and it can be consumed normally. However, patients with uterine fibroids are not suitable to consume foods containing natural estrogen such as soy milk, tofu and gum, and even less suitable to use health supplements such as soy isoflavones that have the ability to delay aging, postpone menopause and improve menopausal symptoms. Such foods and health supplements can stimulate the growth of fibroids and may cause other adverse reactions.
