How to treat recurrence of lung adenocarcinoma after surgery

If the tumor recurrence occurs in or around the operation site after lung adenocarcinoma surgery, surgery and radiotherapy are needed, and for distal metastasis, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other comprehensive treatments are needed. 1. Surgical site and surrounding tumor recurrence, if lung adenocarcinoma patient’s tumor recurrence is located in the surgical site or around the site and the tumor volume is relatively small, as long as the patient’s physical condition permits, it is recommended to undergo surgical resection in time, and then carry out radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other treatments after the surgery; for some patients who are physically weak, it can be considered to carry out conservative treatments such as directional radiotherapy. 2. For distal metastasis, the situation of this kind of patients is relatively serious and it is difficult to carry out surgical resection. Radiotherapy, chemotherapy and targeted therapy should be adopted to carry out comprehensive treatment to stabilize the condition and prolong the survival period.
