The eye bag mainly refers to the cornea or bulbar conjunctiva. If it is a bulbar conjunctival laceration, it will heal in about a week after performing suturing. If it is a corneal laceration that needs to be sutured, when to remove the sutures after suturing needs to be done differently depending on the situation. If the sutures have not been loosened, then the sutures should be removed for at least six months so that the cornea can heal well. If the sutures have loosened and the patient has a foreign body sensation or a discharge adhering to the sutures, it is recommended that they be removed as soon as possible. If not removed, it can easily lead to eye infections such as endophthalmitis. Therefore, it takes at least six months to repair a broken cornea.
