How to treat retinal discoloration

Retinal discoloration, usually referred to as retinitis pigmentosa, has no good treatment. Retinitis pigmentosa is associated with a genetic defect, but it does not usually show symptoms immediately after birth, but rather symptoms gradually appear with age, such as narrowing of the visual field and night blindness. There is no cure for retinitis pigmentosa because there is currently no technology that can repair the genetic defect. It is hoped that there will be breakthroughs in gene therapy, artificial retina and other technologies in the future, so that retinitis pigmentosa can be cured. For the time being, avoiding bright light stimulation of the eyes is helpful in slowing down the progression of retinitis pigmentosa.
