Can you spot a mole on your lip?

Moles around the lips can be spotted and the treatment mainly includes physical therapy or surgery.
Moles around the lips generally refer to pigmented nevi, which are benign skin growths related to abnormal pigment cell function. Most people have some kind of pigmented nevus, which is generally benign and rarely malignant. However, the nevus around the lips may affect the aesthetics of the skin, and in this case, the nevus can be removed.
Physical therapy is a commonly used method of mole spotting, mainly using carbon dioxide laser, ionized cauterization or liquid nitrogen freezing, the principle is to use high or low temperature to destroy the mole tissue as a whole, which is suitable for relatively small moles.
Surgical methods are suitable for larger moles, especially those with precursor lesions. For example, if the mole becomes dark and large within a short period of time, has discomfort such as pain or itching, or has a reddish halo around it, a pathologic examination is required after the surgery if necessary.
There is a possibility of localized scarring after the pigmented mole is removed, which may have an effect on the appearance. Therefore, diabetic patients and patients with hereditary keloid constitution are generally not recommended to spot moles. Mole spotting should go to a professional organization and be operated by a regular doctor.
